Organize protection for your family and business
Updated September 20, 2026. When a family also runs a business, it helps to review health coverage, income protection and tax responsibilities separately. An organized consultation can identify priorities without adding services you do not need.
1. Review your current situation
List the people who depend on your income, your existing insurance and important renewal dates. Marriage, a new child, a job change or starting self-employment can change the questions you need to ask.
2. Prepare tax records
Gather income forms, sales and expense records, estimated payments and your previous return. Keep personal and business transactions separate. Filing requirements depend on the business structure and tax situation; an LLC does not automatically have just one tax treatment.
3. Compare coverage, costs and conditions
For health insurance, review doctors, medications, premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket costs. For life insurance, decide who you want to protect and for how long. Ask for policy terms and distinguish guarantees from illustrations.
4. Clarify document assistance
For business or immigration procedures, list your documents and deadlines. Confirm who provides the service and its scope. Administrative assistance does not replace advice from an authorized legal professional when legal evaluation is needed.
